Looking Ahead to World Sleep Day 2025 - New Music

World Sleep Day is on the 14th of March, this day is an opportunity for all of us to step back from the daily struggle and take some time to recover. What better way to do that than to put on some specially created music as Decca Records, the official partner of World Sleep Day, provides the perfect accompaniment to a restful night’s sleep with a compilation featuring over three hours of new music from 28 artists.

Wrap yourself up in the cosiest blanket you can find and make yourself comfortable with some relaxing music as we highlight some of the releases for the occasion.

Starting 28th of February, German producer, pianist, and composer Jonas Gewald presents Sail, capturing the silent peacefulness of the ocean and inviting listeners to dream and reflect. On March 7th Barcelona-based Marta Cascales Alimbau releases Penumbra a piece that mirrors that elusive state between dreaming and waking, where the mind drifts freely. On World Sleep Day itself, Dutch guitarist and composer Robin Scherpen releases Ravel Reimagined, a piece of quiet beauty inspired by the composer’s namesake, while Berlin trio Nemo Filou present Rêverie, a gentle waltz that drifts like a dream – simple, playful, and full of subtle turns.
