Quick Intro

The American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME) is a new music collective, founded in 2004. Its leader and artistic director is cellist Clarice Jensen. Performing internationally, the ACME has regularly performed works by composers Max Richter, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Joseph Byrd, Caroline Shaw, and Julius Eastman, among many others. In 2022, ACME released the first recording of Jóhann Jóhannsson's Drone Mass on Deutsche Grammophon, with Theatre of Voices led by Paul Hillier.
