Broadchurch

The first season of the hit series recorded around nine million viewers per episode - making ‘Broadchurch’ one of the most popular television series in the UK. Ólafur Arnalds was honoured with the prestigious Bafta Award for his music.

The dark and cool atmosphere that prevails in the sleepy English coastal town of Broadchurch is brilliantly realised by Arnalds on a musical level. The Icelandic composer proves once again that his music for the suspenseful moving images is more than just an illustrative tapestry of sound.

The multi-instrumentalist combines electronic sounds with elements of classical music, jazz and pop. The new song ‘So Far’, interpreted by Icelandic singer Arnór Dan, is the musical thread that runs through all the episodes of the second season. Pure goosebumps!
