Improvised during that fleeting moment between day and night, dusk captures the contemplative, questioning nature of this liminal time when certainty fades. the piece begins confidently in one direction, only to shift into hesitation, slowly discovering itself—much like two musicians improvising, learning to understand each other, while exploring and shaping their musical phrases. two distinct dialogues intertwine, creating a sense of polytonality and uncertainty, before gradually finding resolution in a modal form reminiscent of an ancient chant. a sudden shift occurs as the piano takes the lead with a solitary melody, only for the harp to guide it elsewhere, introducing a refreshing harmonic landscape. the lines blur as piano and harp echo each other, merging into a mysterious, shadowed fusion—more of a question than an answer, swirling in the awakening evening.
